The OuiShare Awards focus this year on rewarding change-making initiatives, in line with the OuiShare Fest theme "Lost in Transition". As there is an ongoing online vote, we would like to introduce you our 14 nominees and specifically ask them "What is the Change?" they bring through their initiatives. Read their answers and vote for your favorite projects until May 21st!

Get to know Demooz!
Nominated in the Collaborative Consumption category, Demooz is a sharing community where you can try a product in real conditions of use, with a real customer who already owns the product you want to buy. Geoffrey Vidal, CEO & Cofounder of Demooz, answered our questions:
1. What got you started with your initiative?
"The idea of Demooz came to me the day I decided to buy a new TV. I wanted to test it or at least to see it but it wasn’t available in any mall and it was impossible of course to test a product on Amazon or on any other online stores. I had read lots of reviews written most of the time by the brand itself so that was impossible for me to have an objective opinion on the product. A friend of mine who already had this TV offered me to come to his place to make my own review of the object in real conditions of use. That was the beginning of Demooz."
2. What Change does your initiative bring?
"Demooz offers a new way of consuming. By trying before buying and above all by trying with someone who owns the product, you can have a real opinion of the object you want to buy. The Collaborative Economy is the key of Demooz. We would like to recenter the buying process on the human by realeasing the buyer from the restraints of a classical purchasing situation. The demonstator gives you the opportunity to test the object you want to buy in real conditions of use, far from low light conditions and aggressive selling techniques you can find in many stores. Our goal is also to gather people who shares the same interests for innovation over a coffee. First and foremost, Demooz is a community."
